Coach Gary
Gary Clayton has over 30 years of experience
in the business world. He's been a corporate VP, a management
consultant and an engineer. He has worked in
depth with over sixty corporations in industries as varied as
aerospace, nuclear, insurance, dairy products and piping products.
Gary came to coaching through his interest in what
allows some people and systems to excel even in chaotic times.
He sought out human development practitioners and worked with them on his
own skills in the 1980's, as coaching was evolving into a unique
discipline. Gary found great benefit in this experience as he
was able to bring his personal values and work life into much
greater harmony.
Gary embraced coaching as his management style
when he directed a quickly growing professional services group that at times was
scattered over four continents. Traditional management
"control" techniques simply were not adequate. There had to be
trust and each team or individual consultant had to grow the
skills to operate independently with reliable results.
Only through coaching could such an arrangement work.
Gary is a member of the International Coach
Federation and the Philadelphia Area Coaches Alliance. He
received his formal training from the Institute for Professional
Empowerment Coaching.
Clients find Gary to be very sensitive to their
individual needs and priorities. His intuitive style
and wide-ranging knowledge help make the sessions highly
productive.
